For those who on the travel trip and don’t want to bring full-blown tripod because of its weight and size, there is an alternative.  Joby’s Gorilla Pod which looks like 3 legged spider with flexible legs.

This Gorilla has three models that can hold small compact camera up to large camera with professional grade zoom lens (I mean those big white lens).  Its flexible legs can be adjust to match the surface or tie around the object.

Although this Gorillapod cannot and will not replace tradition tripod, however, this is a great solution for those backpacker and casual traveler who need to travel light.

Why Santorini is so beautiful?  This Greece volcanic island appears on lots of photo sites and claim to be one of the best place for photography.  The iconic blue and white buildings are all over the island.  Umm… looks like Greece will be my next destination.

PMA is one of the big photography show of the year while the other is Photokina. Each year the announcement of new product attract lots of news people including blogger and many web site. You can sit and relax at home browsing these blogs and webs to find what’s happen in the show.

Thinnest but not compromise specs at all.  It has Intel Core 2 Duo, 2G of RAM, 13.3 inch wide screen LED display, 80GB HDD or 64GB SSD (Solid State Drive-Wow!!!), multi touch keypad similar to iPhone, built-in 801.11n WiFi, iSight web cam and USB.  The battery life is 5 hours with wireless web browsing.  Can’t wait to see what’s next?   3G iPhone perhaps?

Been to Sandy’s friend “Nan & Don” wedding at Suan Sam Phran.  This is the first time for wedding photo.  The fact that this event was the out door event made me worry a bit.  At least I wasn’t the primary camera, so I can move around and capture the moment from different angle.

      สมเด็จพระเจ้าพี่นางเธอ เจ้าฟ้ากัลยาณิวัฒนา กรมหลวงนราธิวาส ราชนครินทร์ ได้เสด็จประทับรักษาพระอาการประชวร ณ อาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ โรงพยาบาลศิริราช ตั้งแต่วันที่ 15 มิถุนายน 2550 ตามที่สำนักพระราชวังได้แถลงให้ทราบเป็นระยะแล้วนั้น
      แม้คณะแพทย์ได้ถวายการรักษาอย่างใกล้ชิดจนสุดความสามารถ พระอาการประชวรได้ทรุดลงตามลำดับ และสิ้นพระชนม์เมื่อเวลา 02.54 น. วันที่ 2 มกราคม 2551 รวมพระชันษา 84 ปี
      พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว มีพระบรมราชโองการโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อมให้สำนักพระราชวังจัดการพระศพ ถวายพระเกียรติสูงสุดตามราชประเพณี ประดิษฐานพระศพ ณ พระที่นั่งดุสิตมหาปราสาท ในพระบรมมหาราชวัง
      ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อมให้พระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ และข้าทูลละอองธุลีพระบาทในราชสำนักไว้ทุกข์ถวายมีกำหนด 100 วัน ตั้งแต่วันสิ้นพระชนม์เป็นต้นไป
      อนึ่ง ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อมพระราชทานพระบรมราชานุญาตให้ประชาชนเข้าถวายน้ำสรงพระศพหน้าพระฉายาลักษณ์ ซึ่งประดิษฐาน ณ ศาลาสหทัยสมาคม ในพระบรมมหาราชวัง ตั้งแต่เวลา 13.00-16.00 น. วันพุธที่ 2 ม.ค.2551
