Let me have my full USB drive

Last week I bought 2G Kingston DataTraveler 101R special edition (Year of the Rat) and plan to put my existing JetFlash 2G thumb drive as a file backup.

I expect this new USB drive to be empty or just has some bundled software in the drive but not the full locked partition with cripple software.  Kingston tech support confirm that it cannot be removed.  I may need to find a way to remove this partition in order to continue using my TrueCrypt security software.

They should have put a warning at the package that the bundled software cannot be removed.

So long Kingston.  If you continue doing this, you will not get my money again.

By the way, I bought a new 4GB SanDisk which allow me to have my full Flash Drive…. So I can continue to use TrueCrypt 5.

After using it as a non-secured thumbdrive, the cd partition just died. Now left only with data storage partition..
