GPS on CellPhone is NO in NZ

นิวซีแลนด์ได้แก้ไขกฎหมายโดยการห้ามคนขับรถใช้โทรศัพท์ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการรับสาย  โทรออก อ่าน SMS ส่ง SMS  รวมทั้งการดู GPS ด้วย

Under the new law, that would be illegal, Transport Ministry spokesman John Summers confirmed. "The Road User Amendment Rule 2009 means drivers will not be able to look at a navigation aid on a mobile phone when driving, even if it is mounted on the dashboard.

ที่น่าแปลกก็เพราะกฏหมายใหม่นี้ไม่ได้ห้ามการใช้ GPS ที่เป็น Standalone

ต่อไปใครเอามือถือที่มี GPS ติดอยู่ด้วยก็อย่าใช้งานบนรถนะครับ  เดี๋ยวจะโดนปรับหมดสนุกเปล่า?

    ดูเหมือนว่าคนคนบ่นกันมากๆ มีแนวโน้มจะแก้กฏใหม่

    “In a statement on Friday, Transport Ministry spokesman John Summers said the Road User Amendment Rule restricting the use of cellphones in cars, due to take effect in November, meant drivers would not be able to look at a navigation aid on a mobile phone when driving, even if it was mounted in a hands-free kit on their dashboard.

    But yesterday afternoon, Mr Joyce said: “It is not the intent of the rule to make it illegal for motorists to use the satellite navigation or music functions of their cellphones, provided these are mounted in the vehicle and are manipulated infrequently.”

    The rule would be amended to make that clear.”
