<p>For those who on the travel trip and don&#8217;t want to bring full-blown tripod because of its weight and size, there is an alternative.&nbsp; Joby&#8217;s Gorilla Pod which looks like 3 legged spider with flexible legs.</p>
<p>This Gorilla has three models that can hold small compact camera up to large camera with professional grade zoom lens (I mean those big white lens).&nbsp; Its flexible legs can be adjust to match the surface or tie around the object.</p>
<p><a href="http://kanok.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/windowslivewritergorillapod.tripodontherun-b40aslrzg-05-21.jpg"><img style="border-top-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px" height="398" alt="slrzg-05" src="http://kanok.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/windowslivewritergorillapod.tripodontherun-b40aslrzg-05-thumb1.jpg" width="467" border="0"></a>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Although this Gorillapod cannot and will not replace tradition tripod, however, this is a great solution for those backpacker and casual traveler who need to travel light.</p>
<p>Looks like it has fan club.&nbsp; See what it can do from this Flickr group: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/gorillapod/pool/" target="_blank">Gorillapod Love</a></p>
