ยังจำได้ว่าพึ่งเขียนถึง Firefox 4.0 ไปได้ไม่นาน วั้นนี้ทาง Mozilla.org ได้ออก browser Firefox 5.0 มาให้ download มาใช้กันฟรีๆ Firefox เป็น Internet browser ที่เป็นคู่ปรับของ Internet Explorer มาแต่ช้านาน ด้วยการออกแบบที่คำนึงถึงความเร็วและความปลอดภัย แม้ทุกวันนี้จะได้ส่วนแบ่งมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ แต่ก็ยังไม่ขึ้นเป็นที่ 1 ซักที ทาง Mozilla.org เปลี่ยน model ในการพัฒนาโดยจะออก release ถึ่ขึ่น ดังนั้นเราอาจจะได้เห็น Firefox 10 ได้ในไม่นานนี้ ด้วยหน้าตาที่เปลี่ยนไปเล็กน้อย แต่เพิ่มความสามารถในการทำ private browsing หรือเพิ่ม App Tab ให้สามารถกำหนด application ให้เป็นเหมือนกับ tab ถาวรได้ ก็คงต้องดูกันว่าด้วยความสามารถพวกนี้จะดึงส่วนแบ่งตลาดมาเพิ่มได้หรือไม่
