OpenID (again)

Now with new PHP v5.x and WP-OpenID 2.1.2, I can officially announce that my blog is now fully support OpenID.

To recap the OpenID the definition is…

OpenID is an open, decentralized, free framework for user-centric digital identity. OpenID takes advantage of already existing internet technology (URI, HTTP, SSL, Diffie-Hellman) and realizes that people are already creating identities for themselves whether it be at their blog, photostream, profile page, etc. With OpenID you can easily transform one of these existing URIs into an account which can be used at sites which support OpenID logins.

Sound too technical!!!  Let’s try this..

OpenID is a free and easy way to use a single digital identity across the Internet

With one OpenID you can login to all your favorite websites and forget about online paperwork!

Sound easier?

Two places I usually recommend to get the OpenID for yourself and read more about it are..

Mobile Blog

Firstly I was worried that I will not be able to update my blog while in Chiang Mai.  Now I find a software called MobiBlockr which runs on my PDA. It says it can post photo too. So I can keep updating my blog while in Chiang Mai.  Looks like the fun is about to begin.

Launch Week

Google buys Jaiku

In the world of Web 2.0 where the Internet is where user generated content rules, many micro blogs born and die.  One of the site that I often is Jaiku where I can just post a short word such as what I’m doing, how do I feel now.  I can do this from the web, SMS or even Symbian client (Nokia N73).  This kind of popular now and there are many site that do this.

Jaiku is a project from 2 Finn and now gains momentum and popularity enough to attract attention from Google.  Let’s see how Google will do with Jaiku.  We may see the Jaiku client to be included in the rumored gPhone?

It spring… At least in the room

Now we can tell how warm the room is by looking for the flower on the wall. It is some kind of temperature sensitive paint that will reveal the image of flower when the temperature rises to a certain level.

Don’t know if the room is so hot, will the leaves turn brown also? 🙂

Heat-Sensitive Wallpaper Changes Patterns When You Crank the Thermostat

heaton.jpg

This here is some fancy wallpaper that’s heat sensitive, changing the pattern when the radiator comes on. It’s a pretty sweet idea, and it looks cool, although I wonder if it goes from all to nothing like in these pictures or if it just stays in a halfway-there middle ground most of the time. If that’s the case, which is likely, then no thanks. Hit the jump to see it with the radiator off.
