If the Supreme Command of the Empire commands you to turn right, can you resist?  Now Tom Tom has voice option when navigate to choose.  The newest one is Darth Vader voice.  The Dark Lord of the Sith himself will direct you to turn right at the corner or to stop when you reach your ‘destiny’.

It cost $12.95 to have him on the back seat of your car.  And for the Rebel, C3-PO, Yoda and Han Solo will come soon.  For me I’m more interested in R2-D2 one.

GPS on CellPhone is NO in NZ

นิวซีแลนด์ได้แก้ไขกฎหมายโดยการห้ามคนขับรถใช้โทรศัพท์ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการรับสาย  โทรออก อ่าน SMS ส่ง SMS  รวมทั้งการดู GPS ด้วย

Under the new law, that would be illegal, Transport Ministry spokesman John Summers confirmed. "The Road User Amendment Rule 2009 means drivers will not be able to look at a navigation aid on a mobile phone when driving, even if it is mounted on the dashboard.

ที่น่าแปลกก็เพราะกฏหมายใหม่นี้ไม่ได้ห้ามการใช้ GPS ที่เป็น Standalone

ต่อไปใครเอามือถือที่มี GPS ติดอยู่ด้วยก็อย่าใช้งานบนรถนะครับ  เดี๋ยวจะโดนปรับหมดสนุกเปล่า?

Today (Mar 17) Apple will launch iPhone OS 3.0 SDK.  The SDK or Software Development Toolkit which will be used by developer to write software to run on new OS when it lunch.   But no body knows what will be in it.  Many site speculate the new features are:

  • Copy, Cut & Paste
  • Multitasking
  • MMS (every one wants this)
  • FULL Bluetooth support
  • VDO capture
  • Turn-by-Turn GPS navigation

Let’s see how many will come true.

Largest Drawing in the World….NOT!

วันก่อนไปเจอใน Engadget รายงานข่าวว่ามีนายคนหนึ่งร่วมมือกับ DHL เอากระเป๋าใส่ GPS แล้วให้ DHL บินตามเส้นทางที่กำหนด  แล้วสุดท้ายก็เอา track ของ GPS มา plot เป็นรูปวาดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก

เรื่องนี่ได้รับการวิจารณ์จากเวปหลายๆ ที่ว่าจริงหรือไม่  สุดท้ายนายคนนั้นก็ออกมายอมรับว่าเป็น.. สตรอเบอรี่ผลใหญ่  แท้จริงเป็นโปรเจคจบการศึกษา ในวิชาการโฆษณาและกราฟิกดีซานด์

งานนี่คงได้ A+  เพราะโฆษณาได้สำฤทธิ์ผลจริงๆ  ใครๆ ก็รู้จักนายแล้ว

ใกล้จะเดินทางไปต่างบ้านต่างเมืองแล้ว  งานนี้คงถ่ายรูปมาไม่ยั้ง  สุดท้ายกลับมาดูที่บ้าน  เสร็จแล้วก็ upload ขึ้นไปไว้บน Internet    พอนานไปอาจจะจำไม่ได้ว่ารูปนี้เราถ่ายที่ไหนกัน

สำหรับผู้ที่มี GPS  เรื่องนี้มีทางแก้ง่ายๆ ก็คือ ขณะที่ถ่ายรูปก็เปิดให้ GPS  เก็บ track ไว้  หลังจากนั้นก็ใช้โปรแกรม GeoSetter (ฟรี)  เพื่อ map รูปภาพกับตำแหน่งเข้าด้วยกัน  เมื่อได้รูปที่มีตำแหน่ง GPS อยู่ด้วยกันแล้วก็ upload ไปที่เวปฝากรูปเช่น Flickr   ซึ่งทางเวปนั้นจะสามารถไปแสดงตำแหน่งบนแผนที่ได้อย่างแม่นยำ   แม่นแค่ไหนก็ลองดูในรูปแล้วกันครับ

อาทิตย์นี้จะลองไปใช้ดูที่โบนันซ่าเขาใหญ่  อยากรู้เหมือนกันว่ามันจะยุ่งยากหรือเปล่า?
